Sean Carolan is the bassist of Chicago-based band Mungion, providing dexterous basslines and skillful slapping to Mungion’s already technically-impressive music. He locks in with drummer Matt Kellen, creating one of the tightest rhythm sections on the scene. Sean, like his bandmate Justin Reckamp, is inspired by Parn Kournt, as well as Paul Chambers, Rocco Prestia, and Paul Jackson.

Sean on his Lakland 55-02, “Having converted over to the 35″ Lakland 5 string [from a Fender Jazz Bass] with a wider neck definitely feels like home for me. I find it much easier to center myself with that instrument which allows for a more enjoyable performance.”
